There is plenty that human beings can do, but at the same time, there is little we do better than growing on a consistent basis. This tendency to improve, no matter the situation, has brought the world some huge milestones, with technology emerging as quite a major member of the group. The reason why we hold technology in such a high regard is, by and large, predicated upon its skill-set, which guided us towards a reality that nobody could have ever imagined otherwise. Nevertheless, if we look beyond the surface for a second, it will become clear how the whole runner was also very much inspired from the way we applied those skills across a real world environment. The latter component, in fact, did a lot to give the creation a spectrum-wide presence, and as a result, initiate a full-blown tech revolution. Of course, this revolution then went on to scale up the human experience through some outright unique avenues, but even after achieving a feat so notable, technology will somehow continue to bring forth the right goods. The same has turned more and more evident in recent times, and assuming one new discovery shakes out just like we envision, it will only put that trend on a higher pedestal moving forward.
Toyota Material Handling has officially launched three new electric forklift models, including a Side-Entry End Rider, a Center Rider Stacker and an Industrial Tow Tractor. Starting from the Side-Entry End Rider, the forklift is designed to facilitate use cases like cross-warehouse transportation and order picking. Available in 6,000 and 8,000-lb iterations, this one features an automatic parking brake, standard power steering, a turn radius, a multifunction control, as well as speed reduction capabilities that can notably spring into action whenever the vehicle has to take a turn. Beyond that, the Side-Entry End Rider also comes decked up with a forward-facing position to ensure a clear line of sight when picking and placing loads. Next up, we have the Center Rider Stacker, which is given a three-in-one design so to let it do the job of a center rider, order picker, and counterbalanced forklift all on its own. The stated model has the lift capacity of up to 2,500 lbs, while simultaneously boasting around 72 inches in height. Here, like the previous forklift, there is a multifunction control, and alongside that, there are some extra options integrated into the backrest support operation. Center Rider Stacker can be used for long runs, staging, and cross-dock work. Lastly, we move on to the new electric Industrial Tow Tractor. This forklift possesses a towing capacity of 15,000 lbs. It further complements that capacity through a standard electric power steering to provide operators an optimal steering and control mechanism, as well as through an AC Drive Motor to conceive the power needed for clocking your day-to-day tasks. Rounding off the tow tractor’s highlights is its regenerative plugging functionality. By leveraging a dedicated operator compartment sensor, the functionality is able to help the operator in achieving a more efficient position.
“Warehouses and distribution centers everywhere need material handling equipment that can help them keep pace with the speed of commerce,” said Tony Miller, senior vice president of engineering, operations and strategic planning at Toyota Material Handling. “Our customers have been asking for specific and sustainable solutions that get the job done. By adding these new models to Toyota’s expansive and growing lineup of electric products, we are in a position to lift up customers with the material handling solutions they need to be successful in today’s demanding market.”
The customers of these new forklifts can also customize their vehicles to add options like cold storage, PIN code access for security, and more.
